What happens in case of bad weather?
For us, the holiday is about the boat, not the itinerary.
In case of bad weather, we may modify the route to continue sailing while always ensuring safety on board.
How much does fuel cost?
On average, fuel costs are around €50 per person for the entire week.
How much do marina fees cost?
Marina fees vary depending on the location.
Corfu Town (Mandraki Port) is the most expensive, around €65 per day.
Other ports average €50 per night.
Port fees are always shared among all participants.
Does the skipper cook on board?
No. The skipper’s main responsibility is to navigate the boat safely.
Meals are managed by the group.
The skipper, as part of the crew, will assist when necessary.
What soap should I use on board?
It is mandatory to use biodegradable shower gel/shampoo to protect the marine environment.
What type of luggage should I bring?
❌ No hard suitcases
✅ Soft bags or duffels
Space on board is limited, so soft bags are easier to store in cabins.
What documents are required?
Bring a valid ID for international travel or a passport.
What kind of holiday is this?
It is a relaxing but adventurous sailing holiday, immersed in nature.
Ideal for those with:
adaptability and flexibility
a love of the sea
the desire to experience a genuine sailing adventure
Can I pay by card or cash?
In larger towns like Kassiopi and Corfu, card payments are accepted.
On smaller islands like Othonoi and Erikoussa, cash is recommended, as ATMs are rare or unavailable.
What clothing should I bring?
We recommend:
layered clothing
waterproof jacket (K-way)
towels and beach mats
swimwear
sandals or flip-flops
sunglasses and hat
sunscreen SPF 50
And above all:
adventure spirit and a positive attitude!
What if I get seasick?
We recommend bringing Xamamina if you are prone to seasickness.
We do not recommend bracelets or placebo remedies.
What happens if there is bad weather during the crossing?
The outbound crossing may be postponed.
The return crossing may be anticipated.
In these cases, the tour will start or continue along the Salento coast.
Use of the boat is always guaranteed.
Can guests participate in maneuvers?
Absolutely!
Anyone interested can participate in sailing maneuvers and learn the basics of sailing.
It’s a fun and educational experience for everyone.
How does provisioning (cambusa) work?
After boarding, there will be a briefing with the skipper.
The skipper will provide guidelines for shopping and meal organization on board.
Often, a WhatsApp group is created a few days before departure to coordinate the provisioning.
After the briefing:
part of the group goes shopping
the agreed-upon items are purchased
provisions are loaded on board by the evening, ready for an early morning departure
Will a WhatsApp group be created?
Yes.
About a week before departure, a group is created to:
introduce participants
start organizing the provisioning
share useful information
The skipper will also inform the group of sealed items already on board, left by previous crews if applicable.
Snorkeling and fishing equipment
Basic snorkeling masks, fins, and equipment are often available on board.
However, we recommend that enthusiasts bring their own gear.
How does the shared fund work?
There isn’t a formal common fund.
The skipper advances expenses for:
port fees
fuel
These amounts are then divided among participants with receipts provided.
Charging phones and devices
There are 220V sockets on board, which work when the boat is connected to shore power in port.
While sailing or at anchor, you can charge devices via:
inverter
USB sockets, usually available in the dinette
What happens in case of damage?
If a guest accidentally damages something:
the first step is to repair it on board, avoiding extra costs
if replacement is needed, an official quote will be provided
the amount is then reimbursed to the skipper
