Raduno dell’Arte 2026: Art & Sailing Experience in Greece
Raduno dell’Arte 2026: Art & Sailing Experience in Greece
There are trips that simply take you from one place to another.
And then there are experiences that shift your perspective, connect you with people, and spark something new within you.
The Raduno dell’Arte (Art & Sailing Gathering) is exactly that.
An event that has been taking place every year for over two decades, bringing together the beauty of sailing with artistic expression, set between Southern Italy and the most remote Greek islands.
What is the Raduno dell’Arte (Art & Sailing Gathering)?
The Raduno dell’Arte is a project born in 2004 with the idea of combining sailing with the artistic and cultural heritage of Southern Italy and Greece.
At the heart of the experience is the crossing of the Strait of Otranto, sailed by a flotilla of boats.
On board, you won’t just find travelers, but people from different creative backgrounds:
- sailors
- musicians
- singers
- poets
- actors
- painters
- and artists of all kinds
All sharing the same goal: to create three days of celebration, connection, inclusion and human exchange.
This is not just an event.
It’s a collective experience where the journey itself becomes a form of expression.
A different kind of sailing event
This is not just a sailing holiday.
And it’s not only an art event either.
The Raduno dell’Arte (Art & Sailing Gathering) is a shared experience where you:
- sail together
- learn by doing
- connect with others
- create something new
Each crew becomes part of a bigger story made of encounters, cultural exchange and inspiration.
The starting point is always the sea.
But what you take home goes far beyond it.
The 2026 program: four days off course
May 29 – Pre-event in Santa Maria di Leuca
The experience begins in Santa Maria di Leuca.
This is where crews meet, energy builds, and the journey officially begins.
A first briefing introduces the program, safety procedures, and life on board.
May 30 – Crossing the Strait of Otranto
We set sail.
The flotilla crosses the Strait of Otranto, one of the most fascinating stretches of the Adriatic Sea.
This is not just a transfer: it’s a hands-on sailing experience.
You’ll learn the basics, practice maneuvers, and rotate roles on board.
Arrival in Othonoi is expected in the afternoon:
- swim in crystal-clear waters
- dinner together with the entire flotilla
- briefing for the next day
Each crew is assigned a theme to explore, which will guide their experience.
May 31 – Discovering the island and its stories
The day begins at sea and continues on land.
We visit the legendary Kalypso Bay, connected to the myth of Odysseus, where—according to tradition—the hero was held by the nymph.
In the afternoon comes one of the most authentic moments of the journey:
meeting the island’s inhabitants.
Here, everything slows down.
You listen, ask questions, and explore local life, traditions, and the relationship with the sea.
At the end of the day, each crew draws a keyword.
From that word, a creative piece will be born:
- a song
- a poem
- a story
In the evening, ideas and stories are shared among participants.
June 1 – The hidden village and creation
Another day sailing around Othonoi, discovering wild bays and untouched nature.
In the afternoon, we reach an old village and a panoramic viewpoint.
This is where something special happens:
each crew presents their artistic creation inspired by the experience.
The sunset—one of the most beautiful in Greece—sets the stage.
The day ends in Ammos with a collective celebration:
music, jam sessions, and spontaneous performances.
June 2 – Sailing back home
We sail back across the Strait of Otranto.
But it’s not the same journey as before.
Skills have improved, confidence has grown, and most importantly:
the group has changed.
The experience closes with a final briefing, sharing reflections and connections built along the way.
Why join the Raduno dell’Arte?
Because it’s more than a trip.
It’s an experience that combines:
- sailing and learning
- culture and discovery
- art and human connection
It’s perfect for those who:
- love the sea but want something deeper
- want to break away from routine
- enjoy meeting new people in a meaningful way
- are open to creativity and self-expression
An experience that stays with you
The Raduno dell’Arte doesn’t end when you return to shore.
It stays with you—in the stories, the people, and the emotions you’ve lived.
And every year, like a route traced across time, it comes back to life for those ready to set sail.
